Jay Adler

Jay Adler, has 20 years experience in investment banking, corporate mergers and acquisitions, business sales and multi-unit franchise transaction management. Prior to forming Adler & Company, Jay served as Managing Director for Unison Capital Group, a member firm of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and a registered securities broker/dealer with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Jay managed the firm's Merger and Acquisition practice that completed numerous sale transactions, appraisals and consulting assignments for the principals of companies in a broad range of industries. Prior to joining Unison Capital Group, Jay served as President of a regional franchise development company in Chicago, and as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions for a public consolidator in the retail photographic and franchise businesses, where he participated in acquiring 49 competing firms, sold over 60 franchised businesses and participated in the private placement of $20 million in subordinated convertible notes and senior debt for his company. Jay received a BS in Business Administration from Cal State, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was elected Student Body President. He received his MBA in Corporate Finance from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He held an NASD series 62 license as a Corporate Securities Representative and a series 63 Uniform Securities Agent license. Jay is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) through the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and holds the Senior Business Analyst (SBA) designation through Business Evaluation Systems.

Michael Adler, serves as Strategic Advisor to our firm. He is a senior level executive with extensive strategic, operating and investment experience. He currently serves as Chairman of the Executive Committee of Altus Equity and a board member of the North Bay Angels, where he chairs its Mezzanine Finance Committee. Prior to that, he served as Chairman, and CEO of MotoPhoto, Inc., a publicly traded NASDAQ company that operated and franchised 450 retail imaging centers in three countries.
