Lewis Wood

Lewis Wood is a Sports Physiotherapist, Osteopath, Medical Acupuncturist, Sports Massage Therapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor. Lewis established the Body Align Clinic in 2004 and is one of a few practitioners registered in the UK to offer all these professions and to effectively incorporate them into his clinical practice based in Lewes East Sussex. He has extensive clinical experience in treating sport injuries and specialises in musculoskeletal conditions and often treats athletes from Lewes Athletics Club. As a well-respected member of medical community, Lewis offers an individualised patient-centred approach to address back / neck pain, shoulder, hip, knee/ankle injuries. He uses a unique holistic approach to treat, optimise and enhance the function of the human body Lewis graduated from the University of Brighton in 1999 with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy. In 2009 he graduated with Honours receiving a Masters degree in Osteopathy from Unitec, New Zealand. Lewis regularly treats professional athletes and enjoyed the opportunity to work at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games offering Sport Massage and Physiotherapy for athletes at the Olympic Village and training grounds. Lewis was also selected to join the London 2012 medical team based at the Olympic Stadium providing physiotherapy for the Athletics competition and training venues.
