Angela Smith

Angela is a qualified trainer and former Detective Constable with over 25 years experience. A majority of her service saw Angela supporting those most vulnerable in society. Firstly as a Specialist Vulnerable and Intimidated Victim interviewer moving through to being the lead developer in Police Autism training. Her investigative mindset has been further enhanced by having a personal experience of Autism and she brings this authenticity to her training events. A former family liaison officer for homicides, Angela has delivered Police Neurodiversity training for local and national police forces. She has also spoken at national conferences on the subject of Autism in Policing.

Caroline Turner - CEO, Founder

A former Police Sergeant and Equality and Inclusion specialist, Caroline's passion for working alongside organisations to afford understanding over the past 4 years has built Creased Puddle into one of the most well respected Neurodiversity training and consultancies in the UK. Alongside her fellow Puddlers, Caroline is an experienced speaker, assessor and qualified Trainer but its widely known in the office she's not too good at washing her pots.

Cheryl Winter - COO

Operations Director and Lead Neurodiversity Consultant. An ILM5 Coach and qualified trainer, Cheryl heads up the Creased Puddle UK coaching network and brings 20 plus years of expertise to her role. She is also a NLP Master Practioner, Clean Language facilitator and supervisor and often receives direct requests for consulting. Cheryl's career in Neurodiversity is legendary and nationally recognised. She also wins hands down best dressed in the office on a regular basis.

Darren Downs

We are delighted to welcome Former Assistant Chief Constable Darren Downs who is joining our Criminal Justice Team here at Creased Puddle. Darren has taken up the post of Strategic Criminal Justice Neurodiversity Advisor and will be assisting local, regional and national policing organisations in finding solutions for their neurodiversity portfolios. Darren comes with a huge amount of experience in Public Order, Firearms, Event Management and the management of Major and Critical Incidents. He is qualified as Gold Public Order Commander, Strategic Firearms Commander and MAGIC trained. Darren has completed a total of 30 years' experience in policing covering all core roles such as response, neighbourhood and investigation, and more specialist roles including Human Resources, Roads Policing and Specialist Ops, Custody, Corporate Development, Governance. "I have a real passion and interest in Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and have led police responses to all activity connected to this portfolio. All aspects of diversity and inclusion are essential to effective organisations and all processes including selection and promotion must be truly inclusive. I feel very passionate that the only way we will maximise individual, team and organisation performance, and allow them to reach their potential is through a true understanding of diversity and in particular neurodiversity."

Dr Alice Siberry

Alice received her PhD in Criminology and Law from the University of Sheffield in July 2021. She was awarded the N8 Policing Research Studentship to complete her research, which investigated the effects of neurotypical police practices on the policing of neurodivergent people in local communities. Her research explored the potential risks of criminalisation and victimisation that may arise because of the perceptions held by neurotypical police officers about the differences portrayed by neurodivergent people. Alice holds a First-Class Honours (BA Hons) degree in Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring and an MSc Psychology degree. In her spare time, Alice is an active member of Spectrum Theatre Sheffield where she develops pieces of theatre about autism, and a variety of other topical societal matters. Alice works at Creased Puddle as a Specialist Neurodiversity Criminal Justice Consultant.

Nigel Archer

Otherwise known as Archie, Nigel is the former Criminal Justice Sector, Development Coordinator for Autism West Midlands and the Autism Alliance. In this role he advised the Department of Health, Ministry of Justice, Home Office and the National Autism Programme Board and provided recommendations incorporated into the revised National Autism Strategy (2014). An experienced Police trainer we are honoured to have him as part of our team but are slightly worried about what he brings in his flask to work.

Remi Chappell

Remi is a Neurodiversity Consultant and coach and brings more than 4,000 hours of coaching experience. She has a BA (hons) degree in Psychology and a Level 4 in Careers Advice and Guidance. She is a Certified NLP Practitioner and a Clean Language Coach/Facilitator. Remi has developed and worked alongside a diverse range of clients from the long term unemployed through to seasoned professionals. Award-winning Remi has managed large international projects in recruitment and L&D, and has implemented coaching /leadership cultures. She has a wide breadth of industry sector knowledge having worked with both SME and large organisations such as Kellogg's, Housing Plus Group, Cheshire County Constabulary, North Wales Police, NHS, Network Rail, TNT, Defra, Royal Mail, Shell Gas and Oil to name but a few. Remi has a passion for developing knowledge and exploring different ways of working to increase inclusive practices. Remi lights up the room with her smile but her love of spreadsheets is very worrying….

Robert Manson

Job Titles:

Robert is a highly thought of and experienced Health Safety and Wellbeing specialist who has managed Occupational Health and Safety teams across pharmaceutical, food retail and energy sectors. He joined Creased Puddle to further develop and support Occupational Health Teams and HR professionals to provide Workplace Assessments and accommodate reasonable adjustments for their staff. A registered nurse, Robert spent 20 years with GlaxoSmithKline leading the Employee Heath Team in the UK as well as undertaking EHS audits globally. He is a qualified Personal Development Coach and has delivered and facilitated leadership workshops globally in the areas of health and wellbeing and personal energy management. Robert has a passion for Neurodiversity having provided nursing care to neurodivergent children and adults within health and care settings. Within Occupational Health he has advocated and supported neurodivergent employees, assisting them to access appropriate and effective support . Combining his expertise of Neurodiversity and Occupational Health and Wellbeing, Robert and his Workplace Needs Assessment team are on hand to advise organisations and individuals so they can provide the right resources at the right time. Robert has presented at international conferences and written several articles on the management of mental health, case management and workplace wellbeing programs. He has been recognised with the Safety and Health at Work - European Good Practice Award. He has a BSc in Occupational Health, an MSc in Health Ergonomics and a NEBOSH Diploma in Health, Safety and Environment. Robert is a volunteer for Candlelighters, which is a charity supporting children and parents affected by Cancer across Yorkshire. He also supports Pigs in the Wood, an animal sanctuary in Scissett that provides life long care for animals that have been neglected and abused.
