Giselle de Freitas - CFO

Giselle serves as Agrinteligente's Chief Financial Officer and focuses on formulating strategic growth. She has nearly two decades of experience across financial markets, investment research and social development consulting. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Agrinteligente. In her previous stints, Giselle spent 5 years at Paraná Banco where she ran the South American Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity groups, and before that, she spent 8 years at Itaú Unibanco , where she was head of Corporate Finance and Investment Banking. Ms. De Freitas graduated in Law with a post-graduate degree in Business Law from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho in São Paulo and also holds an MBA in Financial & Capital Markets from Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais (IBMEC) in Belo Horizonte.

Gustavo J. Carvalho - Chairman, Founder

Gustavo J. Carvalho co-founded Agrinteligente and currently serves as the Chairman. His vision is to use his multi decade experience and the tools to develop a business from a start-up to an industry leader. He has extensive knowledge and experience working in engineering and applied technology industries throughout Brazil and Latin America. Prior to co-founding Agrinteligente, Mr. Carvalho was Executive Director of Energy and Business Development with Estre Ambiental, Brazil's largest environmental services company, where he was a fundamental part for their waste-to-energy business. Before that, Mr. Carvalho held several senior roles with Caixa Econômica Federal in Brasília, where he spent 9 years and was also a board member from 1998 to 2003. Mr. Carvalho holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and a MSc in Business Management from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica in São Paulo. He also completed the Owner President Management Program at the Harvard Business School.

Malcolm Andrews - CEO, Founder

Malcolm Andrews is one of the co-founders at Agrinteligente and assumes the position of Chief Executive Officer. He is passionate about bringing innovation from lab to the market and did that for a decade working with corporates. Prior to co-founding Agrinteligente, Mr. Andrews worked for Deere & Company where he was responsible for their arable farming operations in Mexico and Brazil, gaining deep understanding of agriculture, business and technology within these markets. Before joining Deere, Mr. Andrews worked on his family's farm in Nebraska, developing the previously corn focused business into one of the leading soy and pinto bean producers within the state, increasing yields and margins through unrelenting adoption of the latest technological development and techniques. Mr. Andrews holds a PhD in Physics & Bio-Chemistry from University of Pennsylvania and also has an MBA Mechanical Engineering with Honors from University of Delaware.

Richard Spencer - CTO

Richard Spencer serves at Agrinteligente's Chief Technology Officer and has over 15 years' experience in start-ups and venture creation as well as managing the firm's technology development functions. Mr. Spencer was involved in multiple start-ups in a broad range of industries, particularly in the software, telecoms and technology sectors and corporate business services, helping several firms carve out a market niche and to eventually become a listed company on the US Markets. Richard Spencer began his career with IBM where he undertook several technical and professional qualifications as a result of his research into AI working on the Watson Project. He then worked for several start-ups in Silicon Valley including payment processing, cloud based services, search engine algorithms and unstructured data, applying his AI expertise to increase efficiency in these markets. Mr. Spencer earned a Masters in Software Development from MIT and his PhD in Advance Technology from UC Berkeley.
