Amanda Mayes

Amanda has been practicing as a dental hygienist with more than 25 years experience. She spent many of those years in a periodontal practice specializing in gum disease. As a result, she is very experienced in giving you a thorough, careful cleaning. She keeps your comfort in mind throughout your time with her. Amanda treats families and children of all ages. Amanda is very happy to be working close to home and loves our relaxed country setting. She enjoys seeing so many truly nice patients and looks forward to making them smile.

Gary J. Ross

Dr. Ross graduated from the City University of New York with a degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in biomedical engineering. He worked for a number of years as a systems engineer, designing submarines. He decided he really wanted a profession where direct personal quality control was foremost, where working with his hands and interaction with people were priorities. That desire motivated him to enroll in the University of Connecticut and graduate with a degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Ross worked as an associate dentist in a private practice before acquiring his own practice in Bethany in 1984. Dr. Ross is not only dedicated to the practice of dentistry but also enjoys the relationships that he and his staff have developed with their patients and with the communities his practice serves. His support for those communities is evident in his active commitment to local organizations. Dr. Ross, a resident of Bethany, serves as the Chairman of District Animal Control serving the towns of Bethany, Orange, Prospect and Woodbridge. He is also treasurer of the Bethany Lions Club and Bethany Lions Club Charities. He annually sponsors a Little League team, and he and his staff are active supporters of the New Haven Food Bank. Dr. Ross is past president of the New Haven Dental Association and is active at the state level, helping to shape policy for programs to provide needed dental care. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and participates in the mentoring program at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ross continues his education completing at least 50 hours of course work per year.
