Our mission is to be more than just a transitional stopgap between a formal treatment center and the outside world. Design for Recovery is committed to being effective in its own right. Using a variety of services- like one-on-one mentoring, peer-support meetings, medication monitoring and support - Design for Recovery works with young men to ensure that they aren't merely practicing tools they've already learned, but building new ones... They return to their damaged family lives. They return to unemployment, precarious employment, or homelessness. They return to lives wrecked by legal problems and debt. They return to depression, anxiety, and fear. Rather than help getting people "sober" and then sending them home, Design for Recovery is committed to helping residents build an entirely new life in sobriety...
