Allison McAllister

Born and raised in Slocomb, Dr. McAllister has been a practicing oncologist and partner at Dothan Hematology and Oncology since 2004. He treasures the sense of community. Each day, his goal is to help people achieve another birthday, more Christmas mornings, children's graduations. Having had family members battle cancer, he believes there's no quicker way to become part of someone's family than to tell them that they have cancer and that you're going to be with them in this journey. The people he cares for are more than just patients. Married to Allison McAllister, CRNP, he is blessed with four wonderful children. Dr. McAllister is also a longtime coach of Little League, Peewee Football, and basketball, and is an accomplished singer/songwriter/composer. Allison McAllister received her first nursing degree from Wallace Community College before a B.S. in Nursing at Auburn University at Montgomery. With a background in both hospice care and emergency department settings, she worked with Wiregrass Surgery Group for nearly ten years as an RN. She completed her Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dallas King

Job Titles:
  • Clinical Research Coordinator
Dallas joined Dothan Hematology and Oncology more than a decade ago. You may recognize her from her time at the front desk where she began her journey of treating patients and their families with compassionate care. She is thrilled to continue serving our patients in clinical trial therapies offered through Alocent.

Jill Hoops

  • Executive Director
Jill is a development and marketing professional with a passion for healthcare philanthropy. She earned her undergraduate degree in 2018 from the University of Alabama before starting her career in the nonprofit sector in Birmingham. In 2020, she earned a master's degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of West Alabama. Jill is committed to helping the Wiregrass community thrive through the mission of New Promise.

Juli Love

Job Titles:
  • Research Director
Juli earned her RN degree from Samford University. She worked as an Oncology Nurse for 9 years and was an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) for six years. After time away from nursing to focus on her family, she returned to healthcare in 2019 and joined Dothan Hematology and Oncology in 2022. She is excited to be able to assist our patients through Alocent's clinical trial care.

Kathleen Bennett Pugh

Job Titles:
  • CRNP
A Board Certified Nurse Practitioner licensed in Alabama, Kathleen Bennett Pugh worked as a Registered Nurse at Children's Hospital of Alabama while completing her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner with Honors. A graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, Kathleen is also an active member of the International Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau.
