DRAYTON VALLEY HORSE CLUB - Key Persons

Andrew Farquhar

My name is Andrew Farquhar. I am one of the DV Horse Club Directors. My wife and I moved to the area almost two years ago. I am a teacher in Drayton Valley and have a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting. My dream is to one day hunt on horseback in the mountains. This is our first year making it out to the horse trails and we are excited to get more involved in the local horse community.

I'm new to the Drayton Valley area, the 1st thing I did after moving was join the DV horse club. I've been a member for about a year and a half. I sat on my first horse at 3 months old, the horse was 3 days old and I was bitten by the bug, no cure in sight. I currently work in the healthcare field. On the back of a good horse is the best place to be. I'm new to the Drayton Valley area, I had been out to the trails a couple years before moving here and knew that I wanted to be closer to them. Horses have been a big part of my lie, to the point where I even attended secondary education to further my education and experience with the animals. I have a 1 year old daughter who's become quite the horse enthusiast as well
