Buddy Turner is a Preston County native who brings over 15 years of civil trial experience to individuals and businesses throughout north central West Virginia. He is admitted to practice in both West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Buddy's primary practice areas include:
Buddy is a proud veteran who served our nation as an Operations Officer with the United States Coast Guard, culminating in his receipt of the Coast Guard Achievement Medal for his service in Radionavigation.
Buddy is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and both the Monongalia and Preston County Bar Associations. Buddy has thrice been featured in the Rising Star section of the Virginia/West Virginia Super Lawyer Magazine.
As a dedicated trial lawyer, Buddy Turner serves the legal needs of individuals and businesses in the areas of: General Civil Trial Practice, Real Estate Litigation, and Family Law, Wills and Estates.
Jacob Trombley graduated from West Virginia University College of Law in 2023 earning his Juris Doctor. He worked with our firm as a clerk beginning in Spring 2021 before passing the bar exam and being sworn in as an Attorney. Jake was awarded the CALI Award in Conflict of Laws while at the College of Law.
Mark Gaydos graduated from West Virginia University College of Law in 1986. He continuously worked as a trial lawyer for over 30 years. In March 2019, Mark Gaydos and Buddy Turner founded Gaydos & Turner, PLLC and embarked on a long-time dream of opening their own firm to serve the needs of their local community through a small-town practice with large firm capabilities.
Mark maintains an active trial practice throughout the State of West Virginia. His primary areas of focus include Personal Injury, Divorce, and Family Law issues such as custody, adoption, and grandparent rights, as well as Wills and Estates. He also enjoys serving as the attorney for several local town governments and businesses.
He is quite active in the injury and insurance claim area of his practice. He also practices law in the criminal defense arena and property litigation as well. Mark has tried to verdict a significant number of cases over his 30+ years as an attorney.
The Kingwood Office of Gaydos & Turner, PLLC serves the community needs of Preston and surrounding counties. As an established firm with roots in the community dating back many decades, Mark takes pride in working for and with the people of the community. He served as President of the Kingwood Rotary Club and was appointed to serve as the Area VII Assistant Governor for Rotary District 7530. Each year, he participates as a volunteer for several local events and belongs to the Chamber of Commerce, as well. He is active in the Preston County Bar Association and served on its Scholarship Committee. He is also an active bidder at the Future Farmers Auction.
Mark served on the Board of Governors for the West Virginia State Bar and remains active in that organization as a board member of JLAP. He was also selected to serve on the WV Supreme Court Wellness Committee where he continues to work to help better the legal profession.
Mark and his wife, Suann, are the parents of two children, both of whom now attend West Virginia University. He and his wife have been married for over 20 years. He also serves on the Brettwald Board of Directors for his neighborhood.
As for professional organizations, Mark has been an active member in the WV Trial Lawyers Association (where he made various presentations to the group), the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Monongalia and Preston County Bar Associations and the WV State Bar. He has also participated as a judge for trial competitions at the West Virginia College of Law and was a guest panel member on the PBS television program, THE LAW WORKS. Mark presented continuing legal education programs to the Preston County Bar, Monongalia County Bar, the Marion County Bar and at various Continuing Legal Education programs in the areas of office management, insurance litigation, evidence, ethics, and trial practice.
