McKinley, born and raised in East Texas, moved back to the area in 2021 after getting his degree in Business Administration from Abilene Christian University. In 2018, he also earned his real estate license and has since worked as an assistant with his father, Jay, who is also a Realtor with United Country. After 3 years of practicing law, Sam realized that practicing law was not for him.
