Mr. Channa has been associated with the firm since December 2021 and has been responsible for formulating, executing, and defending claims pertaining civil, criminal, constitutional, employment and tax disputes. His prior training in constitutional and human rights law allows him to find emphatic solutions to contentious disputes.
Mr. Abdul Moiz Jaferii has been teaching and practicing law since 2007. He is a litigator and corporate advisor based out of Karachi; with a visiting consultancy In Dubai. Mr Jaferii is also a public commentator on the politics of the law as well as the socio political environment of the country and the region. In this capacity, he features frequently across print and electronic media both nationally and internationally.
Mr. Arbaz Waseem Sheikh holds diverse experience in civil, criminal and commercial disputes. He frequently assists the firm's partners in various courts and tribunals.
Mr. Muhammad Asad Ashfaq Tola read law from the University of London, where-after he commenced his post-graduate studies and completed the Bar Professional Training Course from the University of the West of England, Bristol and was subsequently called to the Bar of England and Wales from the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. He also holds a certification in Civil and Commercial Mediation from the ADR Group, London; is enrolled with the Sindh Bar Council as an Advocate of the High Courts; and is also a member of the Karachi Tax Bar Association.
Mr. Tola's expertise span across a wide range of subjects such as criminal, constitutional, taxation, commercial and elections law. He has extensive experience with both trial and appellate litigation matters and is regularly instructed to appear on behalf of various corporations, public authorities, law enforcement agencies, politicians and private individuals.
Mr. Tola has appeared in many high profile cases and has numerous reported judgments to his credit. He is often also appointed as a pauper counsel to appear on behalf of convicted prison inmates and as amicus to assist the courts in complex dispute resolution matters.

Ms. Eshal is a University of London graduate with expertise in various areas of law coupled with her vast experience in proceeding in the District and High Courts whilst assisting in the Superior Courts of Pakistan. Ms. Eshal has considerable experience in corporate & commercial litigation including representing clients in both civil and criminal. This includes drafting legal documents comprising petitions, suits, notices, opinions, agreements, and mergers, conducting legal research, presenting arguments, and negotiating settlements, etc.
Ms. Eshal in addition to her legal practice has dedicated her time and expertise to pro bono work, providing legal assistance to individuals who cannot afford representation. She has also actively engaged in human rights advocacy, working with organizations including the United Nations to promote and protect the rights of marginalized communities which has allowed her to make a positive impact and contribute to social justice.
She is enrolled as an advocate with the Sindh Bar Council and is a member of the Karachi Bar Association.
LLB - University of London (2023) Associate Kanzah.sohail@hwandpartners.com Ms. Sohail acquired her LLB degree with honors through the University of London's International Programme. She joined the firm as an associate for Mr. Ahmed Masood. Ms. Sohail is enrolled with the Sindh Bar Council as an Advocate of the District Courts. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sohail interned with a prestigious firm, where she had the opportunity of working on notable constitutional and human rights law cases, as well as pro bono cases pertaining to violence against minors. She is frequently involved in assisting her seniors before the High Court of Sindh and District courts, including conducting research, preparing and drafting for cases mostly pertaining to criminal, civil, family, employment, building and land law.
Mr. Khawaja holds a degree in law from the Sindh Muslim Law College. Mr. Altaf routinely assists the firm's partners in a vast variety of disputes before High Courts across Pakistan. Additionally, he also appears before various courts and tribunals in an array of civil and criminal disputes including but not limited to family disputes.
Mr. Mirza Moiz Baig holds a Masters of Laws (LL.M.) from Harvard Law School, prior to which he received an undergraduate degree in law from the Lahore University of Management Sciences.
Mr. Baig has the distinction of having served as a Law clerk at the Supreme Court of Pakistan and as an associate to the Attorney General for Pakistan, where he had the opportunity to work on cutting edge constitutional disputes involving the disqualification of parliamentarians, judicial misconduct, and disputes emanating from the 18th Constitutional Amendment. Prior to joining this firm, Mr. Baig worked at a leading international arbitration firm in the Middle East.
Mr. Baig's practice is complimented by his interest in public policy. He has served in Sindh's caretaker cabinet as Special Assistant to the Chief Minister. His is also a public commentator on the politics of the law, featuring frequently across print and electronic media. He has also served as Unsurprisingly, while he enjoys a challenge in every sphere of litigation, he has a particular interest in constitutional challenges to legislative and executive action. He has successfully represented some of Pakistan's leading pharmaceutical companies against federal regulatory and taxation policies. Moula Bux is an Associate working in the Karachi office. He was Called to the Bar at the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. Mr. Haider Waheed is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and is the Founding Partner at HWP Law. He leads a team of approximately fifty lawyers, supported by a team of court, office and administrative/clerical staff of more than twenty individuals. He holds a B.Sc. from South Eastern University and a J.D. from Texas A&M University, USA.
He had initiated his legal career in 2003, working alongside Mr. Khalid Anver, Senior Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan and former Law Minister. Mr. Haider Waheed was formerly a Senior Partner at MCAS&W Law Associates, from 2004 to 2018, with Mr. Munir A. The Founding Partner, Mr. Haider Waheed, commenced his legal career in 2003, working alongside Mr. Khalid Anwer, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and former Law Minister. Mr. Hussain Idrees completed his LLB degree from the University of London in 2016. Mr. Muhammad Ahmed Masood is a Senior Partner at the firm, having joined the firm as an associate shortly after graduating from the Lahore University of Management Sciences with outstanding merit. While Mr. Masood appears before courts and tribunals throughout Pakistan, he is particularly recognized as one of the most prominent litigators before the principal seat of the High Court of Sindh at Karachi. During his years of practice, he has established himself as an adept litigator and has become known for his ability to identity the particular needs of his clients, and their circumstances, and deliver to them effectively.
Mr. Masood's practice before the Bar has demonstrated a sound understanding of the law that is well grounded in research. He has also been a part Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN), which is one of the world's largest and most prestigious MUN competitions and prides itself on gathering delegates from more than countries to discuss international affairs, pressing challenges and devise smart solutions thereto.. Mr. Bilal Qureshi has been a part of our firm since 2021 and works as an associate with Mr. Abdul Moiz Jaferii, assisting his seniors in various matters at the Sindh High Court and Subordinate Courts. Mr. Qureshi is enrolled with the Sindh Bar Council as an Advocate of the District Courts. He is frequently involved in contentious and non-contentious matters, as well as drafting a wide range of agreements, petitions, legal notices, and legal opinions.

As a student, Raahim conducted extensive academic research with a focus on Jurisprudence, Public International Law, and International Humanitarian Law. He endeavored to apply his academic background into a predominantly commercial playing field, and started his career at a major corporate law firm where he worked extensively on a number of transactional arrangements. Raahim has garnered exposure on a wide array of subject matter, including but not limited to commercial risk allocation, public private partnerships, policy considerations and international trade and legal practices. At HWP Law, Raahim assists the founding partner with legal research and preparation of court documents. He has prepared internal research documents and legal briefs on tax, procurement, judicial developments, and jurisdictional matters.

Mr. Razzak is a University of London graduate and a UK qualified Solicitor-at-Law who possesses considerable experience in both corporate and litigation matters.
