INDEPENDENT SEMINAR BLOG

Several Westtown students will collaboratively pursue individual projects as a part of their regular academic load. To be accepted into the class each student developed a proposal, found a mentor outside of the Westtown faculty and staff, created a timeline for the project, and asked for letters of support from department chairs, parents, and advisers... Two key components of the Independent Seminar are the student relationship with the mentor and the student blogging about his or her work. Check back here (or subscribe to this blog) to follow the projects as they evolve. To make it easier for you to follow their work, the individual projects have been grouped into five different categories... World Languages and Cultures:First Semester Lyra will share what she is learning about French fairy tales (read in the original French) and Conor will explore German attitudes toward immigration. Eric will be examining the Japanese education system.
