Alexandra Granger has been appointed as the Registered Home Manager at Les Charrieres. Alexandra has most recently been Deputy Manager at a 58 bed dementia care home in the island after twenty years in the sector.
Jersey born Alexandra has extensive experience in running care homes and supervising staff and will use that knowledge in the new role. "It is vitally important for our residents, as well as LV staff, that we provide continuity and structured leadership support. I am looking forward to assisting the management at the LV homes in ensuring we provide the best level of care for our residents, and a secure and nurturing environment for staff."

Having grown up in Jersey Amanda left in 1986 to train and work as a nurse in the UK. Once she had qualified as a nurse, she worked in acute medicine moving into specialised community care before returning to Jersey in 1996 to raise a family.
She has been nursing for over thirty years and during this time have gained valuable experience working with older people, some who were living with dementia.
Amanda is very happy to have the opportunity to manage Le Petit Bosquet. Believing that care provision for the older person should be underpinned with respect and compassion provided in an inclusive homely environment.
With a strong team behind her, she will continue to build on the high standards of care currently being practised and ensure that the dignity, well-being, and safety of our residents is always a priority.

Chantal started her career in nursing in the '80s. Right from the outset she had a keen interest in elderly care and undertook the ENB Teaching and ENB Care of the Elderly qualifications. She then spent the majority of her career working within orthopaedics and trauma whilst she raised her family. Once the children were teens she again focused on her career and was promoted to Senior Orthopaedic and Trauma Sister in 2005. As part of this role she acted as Site Manager of the JGH which covered many roles including bed manager, infection control, workforce coordinator and off island emergency transfers. Chantal enjoys expanding her knowledge and holds a BSc (Hons) in Nursing Practice and a PgDip in Biomechanics. She has presented her dissertation research on heel pressures to international audiences including Australia, New Zealand, Malta and the UK. More recently she has developed a keen interest in dementia and in 2017 won two awards for her work on dementia at the JGH. Chantal decided in 2019 she would like to follow her interest in the older person and was delighted to be given the opportunity as Registered Manager of Cheval Roc.
With a passion for continually improving practice and standards, Chantal is proud to have achieved truly compassionate, homely and person centred care at Cheval Roc. The visiting booth, resident pets and piano lessons are a few of her innovative solutions to challenges that occur, fostering the residents personal growth and creativity and keeping seniors engaged and active. Chantal believes building a strong team culture and valuing everyone is key and leads to exceptional care and services being delivered.

St Joseph's Residential and Nursing Home's Deputy Manager, Marta Rodrigues has been promoted to Registered Home Manager.
Marta has spent all of her career in healthcare, starting as a care assistant and working in a variety of roles, and has been deputy manager at St Joseph's for two years.
"I'm delighted to be taking on the role of Manager at St Joseph's after two years working with the team. We cater for a variety of needs, but I shall ensure that whatever our residents' requirements, we will continue to offer excellent individual care to them all."
