The wide range of techniques she has mastered as a postdoctoral fellow and then as principal investigator makes her a great asset to efficiently analyze a broad array of dataset and understand the complexity of the data presented in publications and grant proposals. Dr. Plachez brings extensive Neuroscience expertise, her scientific background includes brain development, traumatic brain injury, autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer's disease. She is an expert with animal surgical procedures and was Chair of the Hussman Institute Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) for 5 years.

Claudio Somaschini

Claudio Somaschini is a consultant with Maidstone Consulting Group, LLC. For 10 years Claudio has been working he is as cleanroom manager and staff lead at Polifab, Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He has a scientific background and expertise in the fields of material science and nanotechnology, with a focus on semiconductors. For many years Claudio worked as a researcher for different institutions (LNESS Laboratory, Italy and Paul Drude Institute for Solid State Physics, Germany) studying the molecular beam epitaxy growth of semiconductor nanostructures and their characterization. More recently, Claudio has been working in processing and technology, developing experience in lithography, PVD and CVD depositions, wet and dry etching and metrology. Claudio received his MS and PhD in Materials Science from the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy.

Corinna Raimondo

Dr. Raimondo is a co-founder and Chief Scientific Investigator with Maidstone Consulting Group, LLC. She is an expert in the forensic analysis of scientific research and her specialties include advanced image and data analysis, including large data sets, across multiple scientific disciplines. Additional expertise includes scientific research and data sequestration in academic research environments. She is well respected for her abilities to solve often intractable ‘puzzles' and provide clear, concise and objective data assessments for stakeholders tasked with understanding experimental methodology in the context of potential research misconduct. For the past 6 years until June 2022, Corinna was a Senior Compliance Specialist for the Office for Research Integrity at Northwestern University and an Adjunct Professor in Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) for the McCormick School of Engineering. After completing her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Institut de Science et d'Ingenierie Supramoleculaire of the University of Strasbourg, France, she moved to the US for dual postdoctoral fellowships in Departments of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Northwestern University. This extensive scientific training was followed by a fellowship at the National Academies of Engineering working in the Online Ethics Center. She returned to Northwestern both as an Instructor for their RCR curriculum and as an Investigator supporting research misconduct proceedings at the University. While there, given the importance of having a legal foundation in the compliance world, she completed a Master of Science in Law at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. She is co-chair of the Forensic Special Interest Group (FSIG) for the Association of Research Integrity Officers, a subject matter expertise consortium she co-founded establishing discourse on executing effective sequestration and analysis of research data, forensic practice and methodological innovation in research misconduct investigations.

Mamata Reddy is a consultant with Maidstone Consulting Group, LLC. She is a seasoned researcher, writer, and editor in health and nutrition sciences, financial analysis, and technology. Mamata has extensive experience writing and editing in academic publishing, particularly medical and veterinary medicine, as well as nursing and health-related sciences. She retains additional editorial experience in financial data review, quarterly business reporting, and financial news research and writing. Dr. Walsh is co-founder and Chief Scientific Investigator with Maidstone Consulting Group, LLC. She is an established thought leader in the forensic analysis of scientific and biomedical research relevant to issues of potential academic misconduct and false claims concerns. Her background includes expertise in the application of advanced forensic analysis techniques and tools developed by the federal Office for Research Integrity (HHS ORI) throughout the course of research misconduct and false claims review(s); conferring with scientific investigators, healthcare leadership and administration, academic faculty and staff during all forensic assessments. She is recognized as a highly competent advisor by key stakeholders and deciding bodies and officials on all evaluations of potential data manipulation following the conclusion of forensic data analysis. Mary has also helped lead the development of scientific data sequestration and security practices for academic institutions during research misconduct and false claims assessments. Recent academic initiatives include the collaborative design and development of Harvard Medical School's Research Rigor and Reproducibility program (HMS R3) dedicated to the continued advancement of research excellence at HMS. Her expertise in this area is reflected in her appointment as Special Advisor to the Research Rigor, Reproducibility and Responsibility (R3) Initiative at HMS and her selection as a Bioethics Fellow (2020-2021) within the Harvard Center for Bioethics. Mary was a leader within the forensics team at Harvard Medical School for almost 10 years. As Chief Scientific Investigator for the Office of Academic and Research Integrity (ARI) she transformed forensics workflows into a recognized programmatic approach for forensic data analysis in the growing field of academic research data forensics. She also served as co-chair of the Forensics Special Interest Group (FSIG) for the national Association of Research Integrity Officers, a subject matter expertise consortium she co-founded specializing in academic research data forensics. Mary has also enjoyed opportunities as a Principal Investigator (PI) leading federally funded cross discipline research teams of data integrity and computational/AI specialists in the development of advanced software platforms for the detection and analysis of image data duplication and manipulation. Prior professional and leadership experiences include service as Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs at HMS, and Instructor of Anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesia, Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Benson is a senior consultant with Maidstone Consulting Group, LLC. She has been nationally recognized for her innovative proactive approaches for addressing research integrity issues, including development of the pioneering ReaDI Program in research data management and integrity at Columbia University. Her scientific background includes technological expertise in various scientific imaging (AFM, SEM, TEM, STM) and spectroscopy (FTIR, XPS, XRD, NMR, etc.) platforms. She has extensive investigative experience in academic research data forensics specific to allegations of falsification, fabrication, and plagiarism, including advising faculty committees, federal partners (HHS ORI), and deciding officials (DO) following the conclusion of forensic data analysis. She is a subject matter expert in research misconduct and conflict of interest institutional policy development, and in performing in-depth institutional risk profile assessments for enhancing and protecting organizational research and data integrity. Dr. Benson is currently the Director of Conflict of Interest Management at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) where she also implements and oversees Research Misconduct Policies, the development of Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) curricula and Foreign Influence (FI) assessment strategies. Prior to joining HMH, Dr. Benson was the Assistant Director for Research Integrity and Compliance at Columbia University. She received her B.S. in Chemistry from Ohio University and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Michelle Stalilonis

Michelle Stalilonis is a consultant for Maidstone Consulting Group, LLC. She previously worked as an attorney in private practice and with the Circuit Court of Cook County in Chicago, IL. Michelle received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago and her B.A. from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN.

Stephan Vigues

Dr. Vigues is a senior consultant for Maidstone Consulting Group, LLC. Before becoming the Research Integrity Officer (RIO) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) in 2020, he was a researcher for 17 years in the Neuroscience field. He received his M.S. in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Montpellier, France. He has an extensive expertise in a large panel of Biochemistry techniques such as Immunoassays, Blots, Real-time PCR, Microscopy, Imaging or Crystallography. In 2015 he decided to provide his expertise to Investigation Committees on difficult cases that requested both knowledge in techniques and expertise in forensic analysis. His understanding of what is needed during an investigation process allows him to provide the specific analysis required and save time to an investigating Committee. He was trained by ORI (HHS) to use their forensic tools and since has developed his own set of tools to adapt his analysis to the diversity of the cases. He was also invited by ORI as a teaching RIO at the RIO bootcamp in 2019. Dr. Vigues brings also his expertise of sequestration and image analysis to the Forensic Special Interest Group (FSIG) for the Association of Research Integrity Officers.
