Michael Rant

Mike utilizes his vast knowledge of the construction industry and technical expertise to oversee a wide variety of engineering projects from start to finish. Growing up in a family of contractors gave him the hands on experience to understand how ideas on paper could be transformed into reality. His ability to think out side the box and develop practical solutions help guide his team in the development of both residential and commercial projects. Mike joined the firm in 2007 after obtaining his associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Nassau Community College. He continued his education and attained his bachelors degree in Construction Management from SUNY Farmingdale. Since joining the firm Mike has acquire experience in a wide range of residential, commercial and municipal engineering projects throughout Nassau & Suffolk counties. After becoming a partner of the firm in 2018 Mike has continued to develop new relationships with clients and manage his growing team of motivated engineers. Mike is dedicated to making sure every project, whether large or small is treated with professional care and expertise. Mike is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and continues to develop his engineering skills by attending professional continuing education courses and technical seminars.

Thomas Bremen

Tom combines civil engineering and business degrees with over 20 years experience in construction projects to lead the surveying department of Northcoast Civil. He offers research, planning, scheduling and management services to land development projects, along with a focused and practical insight of the technical requirements of land surveying and site engineering for both residential and commercial clients. Tom started with the firm in May of 2000. Since that time he has taken pride in helping the firm grow into the professional company it is today. After refining his skills as a surveyor and manager, Tom was made a partner of the firm in January 2018. He takes particular interest in fully understanding the client's project scope, so that Northcoast Civil can provide exactly what the client requests at project initiation as well as anticipate future needs to efficiently complete a successful project. Tom is an active member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS), New York Association of Professional Land Surveyors (NYSAPLS) as well as their Long Island chapter (LIALS), through which he attends professional continuing education and technical seminars. He is also a member of the faculty advisory board at Nassau Community College, where he has lectured and introduced students to the land surveying profession.
