Jacqueline S. Wiegers

Jacqueline Wiegers obtained her Bachelor's degree in communication disorders and psychology from Central Michigan University, and went on to receive her Doctor of Audiology degree at The Ohio State University. She has published research in the International Journal of Audiology, and has presented research at the annual American Academy of Audiology conference. Dr. Wiegers has a passion for helping patients with difficult-to-fit hearing loss, and assisting those with profound loss in finding the best solution for their needs. Prior to joining the team at Oakland Audiology, Dr. Wiegers held positions in a private ENT practice, and with Henry Ford Health System. In her down time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children.

Janet Perkins

Janet Perkins brings 18 years of experience in hearing healthcare. Her career started almost 30 years ago with study as a neurotology assistant, surgical technician, and temporal bone laboratory coordinator at Michigan Ear Institute. She also worked as an audiology technician for five years at the Michigan Ear Institute and briefly at the Hearing Rehabilitation Center. Janet enjoys spending time by the water, attending concerts (with proper hearing protection of course!), and traveling. Her daughter, Lindsay, works alongside Janet here at Oakland Audiology, and her son is a high school athlete.
