VITOR SHAOLIN BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU UK

We are Hampshire's first ever Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team. Everything began after Master Alex De Souza introduced Colin to Vitor Shaolin on a UK seminar tour. The club opened in 2004 after head coach Colin Howells being the first British traveler to train at Nova Uniao had completed a successful 6 month trip to Rio Brazil and wanted to be able to train on his own doorstep. With the permission of head coach Vitor Shaolin the club opened and began to grow. Over the years the club has had some of the best fighters in the world visit to teach. André Pederneiras, Vitor Shaolin, Anderson Silva, Thalles Leites, Leo Santos, Danilo Cherman all visited the club in the years it has been open. The classes are taught the same as you would get if you visited the prestigious HQ of Nova Uniao in Rio or Master Vitor Shaolin's academy in NYC. In order to make sure the best quality coaching and techniques would be delivered Colin makes regular visits to NYC & Rio in order to maintain the high level students..
