Catherine focuses her practice on legal matters related to residential real property, including the buying and selling of homes and landlord tenant disputes. In addition, she represents clients in civil litigation and contract disputes. She regularly counsels individuals and small businesses with attention to the costs and benefits in order to work toward the most efficient outcome. She also takes pride in counseling her clients on litigation avoidance. Catherine believes in one-on-one approach, to keep an open dialogue, and ensure the best results for her valued clients. As part of her real estate practice, Catherine represents buyers, sellers, and builders of residential homes and lots in Suffolk County. Relying on her transaction and litigation experience, Catherine works to protect her clients from contractual, title, zoning, and environmental issues that may arise. She also assists with due diligence prior to buyers entering into contracts. With a background from prominent business and real estate law firms on Long Island, Catherine has always taken a hands-on approach to civil litigation and business transactions, including residential real estate, commercial contract law, employment law, and bankruptcy litigation. With her practice focusing on small business and real property, she gives special attention to the financial aspects of every matter, which makes her particularly effective. Catherine is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and the New York Criminal & Civil Courts Bar Association. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She received a Juris Doctor degree from American University, where she served as senior staff member of the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law and a Dean's Fellow. She is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of New York, and the Eastern, Southern and Western Federal District Courts of New York.
