SOUTH COAST SURETY INSURANCE SERVICES - Key Persons
Bethany supports the contract bonding team, existing contract clients, and our commercial bonding team when needed. Bethany by default of being a millennial serves as in-house IT support. Bethany interacts with all surety bond production staff.
Debbie is responsible for overseeing all account payables and collections. Debbie reconciles market statements. Debbie also provides support for new commercial bond production and the Wholesale Commercial Bond department
Kandis has worked hard to establish a place in the world of surety. She provides underwriting support for Commercial Surety and Contract Surety accounts and broker submitted cases. She works directly with our surety markets and oversees our account managers.

Kelly Specht is a fully licensed Property and Casulaty producer with licenses in all 50 states. Kelly works with her team to create and manage budgets, oversees marketing strategies, and maintains vendor, surety and customer relationships
Phyllis Draughon manages the day to day operations of South Coast Surety. Phyllis oversees staff, manages production, coordinates with surety underwriters, subagents and direct customers.

Richard provides contract surety support to new and established surety accounts, as well as for select insurance brokers.

Sharon supervises all of Customer Service, She also Places Commercial Surety Bonds and Renewal Business with the Markets. She assists in the processing commercial bond renewal reconciliation and billings. Sharon interacts with the market underwriters on new commercial business and on renewing surety bonds.

Steven Swartz founded South Coast Surety with his wife, Nicki Swartz, in May of 1995. Steve was a leader in the surety industry and his local community. Steve passed away on May 8, 2019 and will be dearly missed. Please read our press release for more information. He will be missed by our team, longtime clients, partners, community and the surety industry.
Sydney coordinates Surety Bond Production as a part time employee. She supports bond production processed with our on line systems and our on-line market programs along with all manual production and program production. Sydney interacts with all surety bond production staff.
