Today, Southover has a strong band of nearly thirty ringers. We practice on Tuesday evening from 7.00 to 9.00 and for Sunday services from 10.00 to 10.45. We have a strong teaching ethos and hold a beginners' practice on Monday evenings from 6.00 to 7.00 using a ringing simulator, so that novices can learn the basics of bell handling... We had supported the work of MECO (Middle East Christian Outreach) for many years and in 2016, MECO UK & Ireland merged with SIM. Now SIM is recruiting and sending workers to serve in the Middle East, continuing the work of MECO by serving together with Middle Eastern believers to strengthen the Church and to share Christ's love with others... In 2014 Lewes Sings Gospel were the winners of the BBC Songs of Praise Gospel Choir of the Year award. While our musical standard and public profile has increased, our vision remains the same: LSG is for all, and anyone can join regardless of ability or experience.
