Anastasios is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics at the University of Patras. He holds an MSc degree in Data Driven Computing and Decision Making, jointly offered by the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics and the Department of Mathematics of the same university.
Anastasios firmly believes in the value of EU-funded projects as an effective means to experiment with and realize the European Union's objectives, further contributing to the advancement of technology, society, and economic growth across the region.
Possessing strong programming expertise, Anastasios actively participates in national, European, and international Research & Development projects, with a primary focus on blockchain, artificial intelligence, democracy, and digitization of cultural heritage content.
Anastasios' research interests center on leveraging blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies in novel ways to benefit society. He has (co-)authored several papers on platforms encompassing recommendation systems, and artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies.
