The Maddermarket Theatre hosts both professional and amateur companies. We also work in partnership with local and national arts organisations, schools, charities and community groups... As a community theatre, we are committed to enriching the lives of local people. Our work supports people at all stages of life whatever challenges they might be facing. It directly contributes to improved health and wellbeing, can support positive mental health and builds skills useful for both inside and outside the workplace... Since 1921 we have been a ‘home from home' for anyone wanting to get creative, make friends and experience quality entertainment. Located in the heart of historic Norwich in a listed building brimming with character, we've been described as ‘the people's theatre' (BBC Radio Norfolk).
