Alastair has a 36 year career in Banking with NatWest, with more than 20 years as a Relationship Director in the Corporate and Commercial space where he had a diverse portfolio of large SME clients across Surrey and Sussex. He has strong business and financial analysis capabilities following several Head Office roles. He was passionate about using these to ensure that his customers received market-leading facilities but also wise counsel during good times and bad.
Alastair is unfailingly curious about businesses. He not only seeks to understand their trading activity but also the hopes and fears of the owners, and adopts a partnership approach. He enables clients to achieve their ambitions while managing their risks along the way, both financial and otherwise.

Andrew is a Chartered Accountant with 18 years' experience in the industry. He trained with a medium sized independent accountancy firm before joining Carpenter Box in 2006, qualifying a year later.
He has a particular focus on audit and financial reporting within his specialisms of the construction, manufacturing, and commercial property sectors.

Andrew is a Client Service Director in our Tax Services Group and is based in our Gatwick Office. Before he joined Carpenter Box, he spent 13 years with RSM where he trained and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser. During his career he has gained significant experience in advising large corporates, owner managed business and private individuals on all areas of taxation.
Andrew has particular expertise in international tax issues, advising clients on how to structure their overseas activities in a tax efficient way. He is regularly involved with advising on Corporate Finance Transactions both in terms of Group Reorganisations as well as Mergers and Acquisitions and the associated shareholder implications. Andrew has a keen interest in the manufacturing and technology sector as well as significant experience in Research and Development tax reliefs.

Charlie joined Carpenter Box after spending almost fifteen years at another Sussex firm where he qualified and became a partner in 2004. He helps to head up the Business Services Group where he primarily looks after owner managed businesses concentrating on maximising profits while managing exposure to tax.
Charlie has clients in most industries but has particular interest in property, acting for property developers, estate agents, commercial agents and property investment companies. Charlie particularly enjoys acting for business start-ups, thriving on the entrepreneurial journey from business idea to profitable reality.
