Elizabeth Bouve

Elizabeth Bouve served for many years in a leadership role for a public school system in Maryland. As supervisor of athletics for the 8th largest school system in the country. Elizabeth led the way in implementation of new federal regulations (The Equal Pay Act, Title IX, ADA, IDEA) that created a more equitable playing field for women and those with disabilities. Since returning to her home state of Maine, Elizabeth has been actively involved with many community service agencies, including Harpswell Aging at Home, the Harpswell Coastal Academy, the Harpswell Heritage Land Trust and Harpswell Recreation Department.

Gary Quehl

Gary Quehl served for many years as President of Quehl Associates, a national firm providing services to colleges, universities, and nonprofit organizations in the areas of executive coaching, leadership development, comprehensive strategic planning, governing board education, and fund raising. Dr. Quehl also served for sixteen-years as President and CEO of two Washington, DC-based, higher education associations: Council of Independent Colleges (the national service organization for private colleges and universities) and Council for Advancement and Support of Education (the international service organization for fund raising, public relations, marketing, and alumni officers from 3,400 colleges, universities, and independent schools in 74 countries). Gary has authored or co-authored 32 books and articles in the fields of public affairs, philanthropy, and higher education. He has served on 50 boards during a 45 year period, has led leadership seminars for non-profit and for-profit leaders and organizations, and has been senior fund raising counsel in helping universities and nonprofit organizations to raise $300 million. Quehl was co-founder of the Center for Nonprofit Leadership and has directed its Sage Leadership/Civic Engagement Project (Grass Valley and Nevada City, CA).

Kathleen has 30 years experience in senior level management in for-profit organizations in finance, insurance, and post-secondary education. As a trainer, consultant and speaker, she worked with hundreds of dental practices throughout the US, Canada and the UK. Kathleen volunteers as a business mentor with SCORE and serves as Board of Directors Vice President for Community Dental, a 100 year old Maine non-profit. Kathleen holds an M.A. in Adult/Community Education,is a Certified Executive Coach and lives in Harpswell, Maine.

Keith Porter

Keith Porter is a retired executive with management experience in telecommunications, business development, operations, human resources and organization development. He received an electrical engineering degree from University of the Pacific, and a certificate in telecom management from University of Southern California. Until 1990, Keith held various positions at AT&T and Pacific Bell. As President of PacTel Cable UK, Ltd., he established and operated cable television/telephone franchises in the United Kingdom. As Executive Director for AirTouch International (now Vodafone) he was start-up CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of Airtel, Spain's second wireless telecom carrier. He enjoys taking an occasional role in community theater productions. Keith and his wife, Shirley, live on an historic family orchard property near Grass Valley, California. William Bergquist - President

William Bergquist is an internationally-known coach, consultant, trainer and educator. He is also a widely-published author, researcher and scholar, and owns one of the few independent graduate schools in North America. Author, Researcher and Scholar: as author of more than 50 books and 100 articles, William Bergquist writes about profound personal, group, organizational and societal transitions and transformations. Dr. Bergquist has conducted research and scholarship in North America, Europe and Asia to establish the foundation for his written work. His publications range from the personal transitions of men and women during the second half of life and the struggles of men and women in recovering from strokes, to the experiences of freedom among the men and women of Eastern Europe following the collapse of the Soviet Union. His book, The Postmodern Organization, has been identified as one of the 50 classics in organizational theory and has been translated into both Italian and Mandarin. In Our Fifties (with Klaum and Greenberg) was featured on Good Morning America and in several metropolitan newspapers. The Vitality of Senior Faculty (with Carole Bland) received the annual research award in 1998 from the American Educational Research Association. The Four Cultures of the Academy, Engaging the Six Cultures of the Academy, Designing Undergraduate Education (with Gould and Greenberg), and A Handbook for Faculty Development (three volumes) (with Steven Phillips) have been widely acknowledged and cited as seminal publications in the field of higher education. Coaching, Consulting and Training: William Bergquist has served as a consultant, coach and/or trainer to leaders in more than 1,000 corporations, government agencies, human service agencies, college and universities, and churches over the past 45 years. Having consulted, trained and coached in organizations throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Africa, Dr. Bergquist has written extensively about consulting, coaching and training strategies in more than two dozen publications, and co-founded the International Journal of Coaching in Organizations and International Consortium for Coaching in Organizations,.
