Candle is a privacy friendly smart home. It s goal is to challenge the industry to re-think how they design their smart products, and promote the idea that privacy and smart are not mutually exclusive... Candle is a Dutch design research project, and is publicly funded. Our goal is to accelerate the transition to privacy friendly technology... We are a group of Dutch technologists, designers and thinkers, most of us from Amsterdam, who felt that we could inspire the market by creating examples of the products we would like to see. Our goal with Candle is to provoke the market into creating the products we would be willing to buy.
