Mariner Design is a ‘trading name' of Mariner Limited - an incorporated New Zealand company. John Cable is the founder and director. He has over 34 years of marine engineering and seafaring experience. Of which, over 28 years has been in design, project management and commissioning - principally in the New Zealand ‘super yacht' building industry, but also on overseas projects too. John brings a full spectrum of knowledge and design skills to the table. From racing sailing dinghies as a child, through becoming an engineer officer in the British merchant navy to the captain of various super yachts - his seafaring and sailing experience is broad. Having obtained a yacht design degree from the renowned Southampton Solent University and diplomas in marine engineering and business administration.
