The group is owned by the well-known politician and businessman who is a former independent member of the Syrian parliament Dr. Ihsan Sankar... SG initial stages exists since year 1947 when the founder, Mr. Omar Sankar, established his initial business ventures in the automotive sector while the family was already well establish in the food wholesale business. The inherited talents of the family led them to set up several chains of workshops in different Syrian cities which focused mainly on building wood and metal trailer containers and tankers, besides car maintenance.
