Alan Knott

Alan was Chief Procurement Officer at Carphone Warehouse and then Vice President for Procurement at Walgreens Boots Alliance. At Carphone Warehouse, Alan led the Indirect Procurement Transformation programme creating a European wide Carphone Warehouse Procurement Team and significantly enhancing the Procurement and Supplier Management capability across people, processes and systems. Whilst at Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), Alan led the Indirect Procurement synergy programme for the merger between these two iconic retail brands while also building an international Procurement team across the Alliance Healthcare Wholesale Division and the Boots International Retail Portfolio, ensuring Procurement best practices were utilised across the portfolio. Alan has worked across all indirect categories of spend throughout his career with his IT Procurement expertise being of particular note having dealt extensively on IT transformation activities developing relationships with organisations such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft, IBM, PWC, Deloitte and Accenture to name a few.

Alex Ball - CEO

Most recently a Director in Berkeley Partnership, he has also consulted through EY and PA consulting. Throughout his successful career, the approach Alex has taken is to work closely with clients and their stakeholders to develop business and IT strategies. He then helps them follow through with supplier contracting, team mobilisation and delivery. Recent clients have included Primark, Sainsburys, Debenhams, Pensions Regulator and Royal Mail.

Alex Brown

Alex spent over 20 years working for 3 of the UK's "Big 4" supermarkets. He held Senior Commercial and Marketing roles at Tesco, Asda and Morrison's with time spent both in the UK and internationally. Throughout that time Alex built extensive experience in building and developing large commercial teams focused on customer proposition, pricing and promotions, efficient supply chains and world class sourcing. He led the team that acquired IPL (for Asda/Walmart) from Bakkavor, was part of the founding team of the Group food sourcing division at Tesco and transformed the way Morrison's managed end-to-end procurement across the business. Alex now runs his own investment advisory business with a clear focus on the food and drink sector both in the UK and beyond. Responsibilities included managing multiple senior stakeholders, conflicting priorities and resources, designing and delivering complex change that delivers significant opportunities or risk mitigations for the John Lewis Partnership. Before this role he also was Operations and Project Manager at John Lewis & Partners. Where he was responsible for developing the strategy for Stock Management Operations in John Lewis & Partners shops. leading a central team to monitor and support operational performance, seek continuous improvements and liaise with on-going and conceptual projects. Doug Nesbit

Doug is an experienced turnaround and digital transformation leader having developed the strategy for and governed the delivery of several high-profile retail transformations including Dixons, Argos, Homebase and Holland and Barrett. He has extensive experience in developing strategies which face into the digital revolution transforming retail and that secure great buy-in at all levels from PLC Board to shop-floor colleagues. This includes the Argos Transformation plan to re-invent itself as a Digital Retail Leader and the Homebase turnaround plan that in twelve months doubled its value and lead to its acquisition by Bunnings. Doug is well versed in identifying and negotiating strategic partnerships, for example putting Argos concessions into Sainsbury's stores which proved so effective it lead to Sainsbury's subsequent acquisition of Home retail group. Jo Hall

Jo's early career years were spent on the business side in retail merchandising before moving into Finance. She has been a CIMA qualified accountant for over 20 years, spending the first 10 years in commercial Finance roles working in large retailers (such as Arcadia & M&S), alongside a stint in consulting (IBM). She transitioned into a hybrid world of Finance and IT working on large transformation programmes, providing transparency, clarity and improved cost control on financial processes (in companies such as NBC Universal, Christies, Denstu, Selfridges, M&S). For the last 3 years, she has been working more operationally, as a Project Manager (Dr Martens & Soho House), implementing enhancements to Finance systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365) and for the latter BlackLine, a financial close tool required to meet tight SOX deadlines.   She has extensive and broad experience of Finance processes and how IT can improve (and be beneficial to) decision making and day to day operations. Her strengths are understanding complex situations, simplifying them and relating back to the business and or IT. John Scott

Rob Fraser

Ross Macfarlane

Stuart Richards

Zofia Pastuszka

Zofia focuses on change and programme management and has an academically rooted passion for market research. Particularly, she's passionate about digital transformation delivery. Since joining Tessiant, she's been supporting a global retailer in their product range, merchandising and distribution transformation across workstreams. Before joining Tessiant, Zofia worked as a research project manager, where she specialised in end-to-end delivery of quantitative and qualitative research projects. Among others, she delivered digital transformation reports for one of the Big Four companies and managed international UX research projects. Then, she joined Deloitte in the Human Centered Transformation offering, where she supported finance and digital transformations of global e-commerce and packaged consumer goods clients, from organisational design to on-the-ground change management and communications. Her consulting skills are supported by her academic background in Organisational and Social Psychology gained at The University of Edinburgh and LSE, where she focused on organisational development, organisational culture and social identity management. Zofia spends most of her spare time trying to manage her extensive network of friends, across London Boroughs, countries and continents. Otherwise, she enjoys cooking, a daily dose of sports, traveling and exploring London's rich cultural and culinary scene - all of those activities preferably done with her close ones.
