Chris Hawk

Chris Hawk was named Men's Division 1 Defensive Coach on October 22, 2020. Hawk is a native of Hickory Corners, Michigan, outside of Kalamazoo. After growing up playing youth and travel hockey in Kalamazoo, he played two years in the Kalamazoo High School League before competing in New England prep hockey for Kimball Union Academy. While in college, Chris began coaching via summer hockey school at Brooks Elite Hockey School, in North Andover, Massachusetts. He played college hockey with Connecticut College, and then professionally for EC Oberstdorf. After a season in Germany, Chris returned to the U.S. in pursuit of his career working with adolescents in and around the field of education. He stayed connected with hockey as the assistant coach for the Kalamazoo Eagles high school team; the same team he played for years prior. He then moved to New Hampshire, where he was a teacher, dorm parent, and assistant hockey coach for three years at The New Hampton School; once again, finding himself back in the New England prep hockey atmosphere. David Barnes

David Barnes was named Men's Division 2 Assistant Coach on July 8, 2021. Barnes is a Utah native who started playing hockey at the age of 8 after first seeing the sport play out in the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. Barnes played a mix of AA & AAA during his youth hockey career. After graduating high school, he played 2 seasons for the SLC Jr. Moose (currently known as the Utah Outliers) in the Western States Hockey League (WSHL). Barnes was a key part of the two most successful ACHA D2 campaigns in program history, aiding in helping the team qualify for nationals in back-to-back seasons, finishing 6th and 11th respectively while leading all Defensemen in points both seasons. Barnes graduated from the David Eccles School of Business in the Spring of 2019, leaving the program as a Freshman of the Year Award Recipient, Iron Man Recipient, 2x PAC 8 Champion, 3x Wasatch Cup Champion, Program Leader in penalty minutes and served as Alternate captain for 2 seasons. Upon graduating, David married his wife, Tasia in April 2019 and they welcomed their first child, Sophie, to their family in June 2020 and their second child, Amelia in June of 2023. David works in Utah's rapidly growing tech industry and spent two seasons coaching the 14u Travel Team for the Utah Golden Eagles youth program before joining Utah Hockey's coaching staff. George Chalos

Chalos received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont, where he was a member of the men's hockey team. After a short playing career, he earned a Juris Doctor degree from St. John's University School of Law, while working for the New Jersey Rockin' Rollers and Long Island Jawz of the professional Roller Hockey International League. Chalos has coached and served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Long Island Gulls Tier 1 youth hockey organization for 19 years before founding the Sharks Elite Hockey Club in 2011, which successfully expanded from less than 50 players to over 200 players today. He was the Head Coach and General Manager for the Junior Islanders of the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League and the New York Bobcats of the Atlantic Junior Hockey League. In 2017, he acquired the Long Beach Sharks of the North American 3 Hockey League, where he serves as the President and Director of Hockey Operations. Locally, Coach Chalos is a member of the Board of the Park City Ice Miners youth hockey organization and a director of the Park City Sharks Elite spring and summer program. He is a USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach and serves as a member of the New York State Amateur Hockey Association player selection committee for the U.S. National Development Training Program.

Morgan Feenie

Morgan Feenie was named the Men's Division 1 Head Coach on October 5, 2020. Feenie, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, began playing hockey at the age of four. He played with multiple organizations growing up, including the Grand Rapids Griffins youth program. After graduating high school, Morgan attended Michigan State University. During his time at Michigan State University, he was an assistant coach for the Forest Hills Central Varsity Hockey team. Through his time as a varsity coach, Morgan developed a strength and conditioning program that the organization continues to utilize today. After graduating with a degree in Marketing in 2012, Morgan worked in business development for Fortune 500 companies. His career has afforded him the opportunity to live in a variety of locations, including Arkansas, Minnesota, and finally Utah. As a USA Hockey Level 4 coach, he has coached and trained numerous age groups and organizations in each state, including the Wayzata Hockey program in Minnesota. Rob Feenie

Rob Feenie was named Men's Division 1 Assistant Coach on October 8, 2020. Feenie grew up playing youth hockey in the Vancouver, British Columbia. After finishing high school, he was selected to play Junior A in the B.C. Junior League and played 2 years with the Penticton Vees. He led the team in assists and was the second highest point person during his second year. Rob received a 4-year athletic scholarship to the University of Illinois Chicago, playing both a Division 1 & 2 hockey schedule. He led the Ice Flames in total points during those 4 years and still holds many point records today. He was also Captain his sophomore through senior year. During his senior year, he was selected to the All-American Team and picked by coaches to be part of the West All-Star team that played in Minneapolis during the Hobey Baker Award ceremony. During his junior and senior years in school, he attended the Chicago Blackhawks training camps as an invited walk-on and was offered a tryout contract with the Kalamazoo Wings in the International Hockey League. After leaving his playing career, Rob started his coaching career, coaching youth hockey for nearly 20 years. He has coached teams from 10U to 18U levels. During his Bantam and Midget coaching years, he took teams to the District Championships 4 times.
