To address a complex hiring process with multiple decision points, I chose an interactive format that allowed end users to access detailed hiring instructions in a step-by-step format. Users have the option to hover over individual steps for additional details or click links to access corresponding technical guides... Why this solution works: An abundance of documentation already existed, but end users had to know what they were looking for in order to access the materials. This process map removed that challenge by guiding users to the documentation as needed... I created a scenario-based module to help adult learners new to the public school environment understand their responsibilities regarding safety and security. Plunging learners straight into a scenario before providing them with formal instruction is straight from the Cathy Moore (my eLearning lodestar) playbook, but it can be a challenge to convince your stakeholders to adopt this unconventional model.
