At A&A Farms, our mission is to produce quality cattle, while maintaining the highest farming standards. All of the cows are free-ranging, grass-fed, and grass-finished. As our farm continues to grow, our pledge is to continue to produce quality beef calves, using farming practices that are sustainable and environmentally responsible... In 1979, on a small plot of land located in Chester, South Carolina, Lawrence and Mae Hopkins set off to fulfill their dream of raising cattle as a hobby. They started out with one bull, a few Hereford cows, and a tin barn Lawrence used to store square bales of hay. As the years went on, the cattle grew in size. Lawrence and Mae also grew in age. In 2009, their son Darrian, now operator of A&A Farms, took over the land and the animals, and continued to care for them in the same way his parents had done for many years.
