SphReI first publicly stated the Raeyf standard for relativistic speeds in response to astronaut Ivan Wagner's tweet of an observation of a phenomenon aboard the International Space Station on August 19, 2020. SphReI released a Sphenome Heuristics Framework (SHF) computed theoretical model and postulated that Wagner's observation represented a spacecraft traveling at Raeyf.1 speed at the appearance of the sighting and Raeyf.F1 at its disappearance.
