CARROLLTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL - Key Persons
Dr. Gardener graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After graduation, Dr. Gardner started her career working at mixed animal practice in Connecticut where she stayed for 15 years. Wanting to raise her children back in Ohio, Dr. Gardner joined the Carrollton Animal Hospital in 2020.
She now lives in Carrollton with her family and greatly enjoys returning to life in Ohio. Her husband, Nick, helps raise their two children; a five year old son named Tim and a one year old daughter named Julia. They all enjoy playing with their family dog, Drake. When she can find the time, Dr. Gardner enjoys gardening, camping, cooking, and watching sports. Her favorite teams include the Cleveland Indians, Ohio State, and Penn State.
Dr. Charles (Chuck) Cline graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. Upon graduating, he began his career practicing at the Carrollton Animal Hospital with Dr. Keith Burgett from 1981 to 1987 as a mixed practice veterinarian. From there his life moved him to North Carolina where he worked in a small animal clinic for two years. He moved back to Ohio in 1989 where he successfully owned and operated his own veterinary practice until 2012. Dr. Cline returned to the Carrollton Animal Hospital to work alongside Dr. Burgett as a part-time small animal practitioner in 2014. Today he continues to practice at the Carrollton Animal Hospital working with Dr. Nicole Kelleher.

Demi started her career with us in September 2020 as a Veterinarian Technician Assistant. Demi often spends time walking her dogs Sadie (Coonhound Mix) and Sophie (Miniature Cockapoo). Demi enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Nicole Kelleher graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After graduation she began practicing in Greensburg, Indiana at a mixed animal practice. Wanting to come back to Ohio, Dr. Kelleher then joined an equine-only practice based out of Chagrin Falls, OH. In summer 2016 Dr. Kelleher entered the small animal world working at a small animal practice in Cleveland, OH. while she continued her education to include Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine receiving her Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture from the Chi Institute in spring 2017. In December 2017 she and her husband, Patrick Kelleher, purchased the Carrollton Animal Hospital from Dr. Keith Burgett.

Elizabeth, who started working at Carrollton Animal Hospital in August 2021, has 20 years of experience working in the veterinary field. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and is a pet lover with two horses (Thunder and Flash), a dog (Lexi), and a cat (Cheezit). It should be mentioned that Cheezit enjoys watching cat tv and catnip.

Hayley joined our team as a receptionist/veterinary assistant in February of 2018. She enjoys the daily interactions with our patients and clients, and always brings a positive attitude to our environment. Her passion includes four lizards named Sprinkles, Penelope, Pippy, and Esmerelda. She also enjoys taking care of her small flock of laying hens and has recently taken in a new cat named Teddie into her household.
Kail started his career with us in September of 2018 as a janitor. He then became a Veterinary Technician Assistant in 2020. Kail went to R.G. Drage for Animal Science. He also has his Artificial Insemination Certificate. Kail enjoys hiking with his two dogs, a Border Collie mix Wrangler and Poodle Cross Renni.
Kati has worked in the Veterinary field since 2019 and joined The Carrollton Animal Hospital in 2020. Kati enjoys working with animals in all aspects; she chose this career from a young age of growing up in a Veterinary clinic which made her love for animals grow. Outside of work, Kati enjoys competing in barrel racing with her two Quarter Horses, Stetson, and Tomi, as well as playing on her family's farm with her Boxer named Sophie.
Haley joined Carrollton Animal Hospital in May 2018. Haley recently graduated college from Stark State with a degree of Associates of Applied Science. Her major in college was Occupational Therapy assisting. Haley works up front with the reception team greeting and checking in clients. In her spare time Haley like working on her family farm and playing hide and seek with her German Shepherd Otto.

Patrick Kelleher is our practice manager and co-owner of the clinic with his wife, Dr. Nicole Kelleher. Previous to his career managing a veterinary clinic, Patrick owned/operated a microbrewery in Columbus, Ohio from 2010 to 2013. Moving to Indiana to follow Dr. Kelleher's career, he then opened a miniature wargaming store in Greensburg, Indiana in 2014. Moving again in 2016 to keep up with his wife, and get back to Ohio again, Patrick enjoyed being a stay-at-home Dad until they decided to purchase the Carrollton Animal Hospital in 2017.
Outside of work he has 4 children; a 10-year-old named James, a 6-year-old named Sean, a 4-year-old named Eibhlin, and a 2-year-old toddler Ciara. They all live on a farm with 3 horses, a pony, a miniature donkey, 12 chickens, 10 guinea fowl, and 5 cats, and his hunting buddy, a springer spaniel named Sorscha. In what little spare time he has, Patrick enjoys hunting, gardening, board games, and good beer.

Rikki is a veterinary technician who joined our team in June 2021. She received her degree from Kent State University at Tuscarawas and obtained her veterinary technician license in 2019. Rikki grew up helping on her family's dairy farm and turned her passion for animals into a career. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, kayaking, riding atv's, and cuddling her golden retriever named Tuck.
Tiffany has been working in the Veterinary Field since 2008 as an Assistant and Large and Small animal receptionist. Tiffany joined our team in 2020 as our head of Reception before becoming our office manager in 2021. Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys running the family farm with her husband, Kurt, and her three children, Jacob, Kati, and Nathan. On their family farm, they have many pets including a large herd of Boer goats, two horses, and their Cane Corsonamed Molly.
