CASA TIERRA

Casa Tierra received its Certificate of Filing with the Texas Secretary of State on September 3, 2010. The non-profit affordable housing corporation officially received approval notification of its Section 501 (c) (3) tax exempt status on June 6, 2011 with an effective exemption date of September 3, 2010. In addition, the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts recognized Casa Tierra as a 501 (c) (3) organization and provided tax exempt status as well as sales tax exemption effective January 11, 2013. Casa Tierra remains in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service, the Texas Secretary of State and the Texas Comptroller's Office. In addition, Casa Tierra has also received partial and full property tax exemptions on some developments based upon the non-profit's project participation and exemptions.
