CPP MAL

The Cal Poly Pomona Malware Analysis Lab (MAL) is a student-run education and research center that works alongside the Student Data Center (SDC) and Security Operations Center (SOC). The MAL's objective is design and deploy a safe environment to be able to analyze malicious software and serve as a center to educate students who are interested in the topics of Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering. The MAL will provide the proper environment, tool set, training, and educational resources necessary in order to educate students about malicious software and enhance their technical skills. Our plan is to eventually move towards analyzing new and more advanced threats, including malware that contains active zero-day exploits. After making advancements in the domain of malware analysis, the MAL also plans to support future research projects more closely related to reverse engineering and software vulnerability analysis.
