Since moving from New York City to Silicon Valley in 2015, Deborah has developed a customized approach featuring Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and (for children ages 4 to 12) Child Centered and Prescriptive Play Therapy. She specializes in intervention services for children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of behavioral, emotional, and learning problems as well as Type 1 diabetes... It was during this time that my son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, aged 7. My husband and I had no experience with the disease, and after he was released from the hospital, I remember feeling overwhelmed by the responsibility of having a child with T1D. Today, we are living in Silicon Valley where I have combined more than 10 years working with children and families with a Masters Degree in Social work from Columbia University and many years of postgraduate clinical training to help other families thrive...
