Since an early age, I've always been keen to personal finance. I always wondered why people managed money the way they do. Was this taught behavior? A product of their environment? Or natural instinct? From my academic and professional experience, I believe it is a combination of them all. My parents instilled certain values about money in me. Some of the values come from what they taught me and some from the examples of them simply living their lives. You may have heard the saying "more is caught than taught." From having open candid discussion about money, to seeing them go to work every day, this all shaped my views on money.
