DR ANDREW CARROLL

In addition to my private practice work, I have an ongoing public position at the Mater hospital where I am actively involved in teaching training ophthalmology registrars and medical students. I am committed to Indigenous Health, and have previously worked for the ‘Ideas Van', which is a mobile ophthalmology clinic that provides eye treatment to people in regional communities. Previously, I volunteered for the Queensland Nepal Eye Project at a Nepalese Eye Hospital where I was part of a team that taught advanced cataract surgery techniques, upskilling Nepalese ophthalmologists. I am also committed to rural health and have previously provided ophthalmology services to the Emerald Base Hospital.
