Donna Flores

Donna Flores brings exceptionally strong technical experience as a lawyer with Fleit Intellectual Property Law. Prior to attending law school, Donna worked in the design, development, and manufacture of low cost, low power, and high volume wireless communications products. She possesses invaluable exposure to the engineering and business aspects of technology industry. As a design engineer for Motorola and 3COM, Donna developed hardware for variety of telecommunication devices and home networking (client/server) applications. She has worked with network security issues, numerous telecommunication standards and a variety of media encoding schemes.

Gary S. Winer

Gary Winer was a patent attorney in corporate biotech in the mid-1980s, before moving to corporate management for biotech and electronics companies mid-career, and eventually returning to patents by joining Fleit Intellectual Property Law in 2007. Gary has since become a managing member of the firm, practicing primarily in the areas of preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and preparing non-infringement and invalidity opinions.

Jeffrey N. Giunta

Jeffrey N. Giunta joined Fleit Intellectual Property Law in 2001. He practices in many areas of patent, trademark and copyright law. He has served as patent counsel for Catalina Marketing Corporation and has handled patent, trademark and copyright litigation and prosecution in private practice. In addition to being a patent, trademark and copyright attorney, Jeff was a licensed professional electrical engineer. He has worked in the areas of radar technology and satellite, terrestrial and mobile digital radio communications, DSP and embedded software development, design and development of digital circuit and automated test fixtures. Jeff is a frequent lecturer to companies on intellectual property.

Jon A. Gibbons

Jon A. Gibbons is a founding member of Fleit Intellectual Property Law. His practice focuses on all aspects of patent, trademark and copyright law. Jon has extensive experience in licensing and working with many technologies including software, electrical, and computer engineering. Jon represents clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies to individual inventors. Jon is a frequent lecturer on intellectual property law at universities, companies, and organizations throughout the US. Before becoming an attorney, Jon was an automation and robotics engineer at IBM at which time he was a licensed Professional Engineer. Jon is a Florida Board Certified Intellectual Property Attorney.

Jose Gutman

Jose Gutman is a founding member of Fleit Intellectual Property Law. Jose represents clients in all types of matters related to patent law, trademark law, copyright law, and trade secret law. His patent practice focuses on all aspects of patent law, particularly electrical and computer engineering, cloud computing, software systems, semiconductor manufacturing, and wireless communication systems. Jose has substantial experience with technology licensing. Jose represents clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies to individual inventors. Before becoming a patent lawyer, Jose was a design engineer with Motorola, Inc., designing paging systems and wireless communication products, and is a frequent lecturer to companies and organizations on intellectual property.

Katharine F. Davis Wong

Katharine F. Davis Wong has been a patent agent with Fleit Intellectual Property Law since joining the firm in 2008. She began her legal career as an Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has worked at several of the largest intellectual property firms in the country.

Lourdes Perez

Lourdes Perez joined Fleit Intellectual Property Law in 2013. She is a registered patent attorney and practices in various areas of patent and trademark law, including patent and trademark prosecution, opposition and cancellation proceedings, and trademark clearance and enforcement. Lourdes is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, and is a frequent guest lecturer on trademark law at Florida International University.

Paul D. Bianco

Paul D. Bianco, Ph.D. is a founding member of Fleit Intellectual Property Law, having joined the firm in 2001 when he moved to South Florida. His practice focuses on all aspects of patent and trademark law for clients including startups, the federal government, research universities, and large corporations. Although the firm does not litigate, Paul works closely with litigation counsel, consulting on patent and trademark matters. Paul also has extensive experience in patent appeals and post-grant proceedings before the USPTO's Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and trademark appeals, oppositions, and cancellations before the USPTO's Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Before joining our firm, Paul was an associate with Pennie and Edmonds in Washington, DC. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Paul received a Ph.D. in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and did post-doctoral research at the Food and Drug Administration. Paul is an adjunct faculty member at two different universities and is a frequent lecturer to companies, universities, and organizations on intellectual property and related engineering issues.
