Hannah Levarre-Waters

Job Titles:
  • Architect
Demolition of carport structure - Building of covered pergola area, including installation of roofing, lighting, heating and power points - Building of screened and covered storage area, including rolling door, concrete slab, roofing, drafted plans and certifying/approvals. Sean and the fine people that work with him, such as James, provide an excellent building and project management service. Sean listened to our plans and did a fantastic job of turning our thoughts into reality. The quality his building work is high and his attention to detail illustrates his passion for his work. And he does a good job of wrangling all the other trades (in our case: electrician; roofer; concreter; plumber; draftsman; certifier). Sean was flexible and reliable. He also used different forms of communication (morning meetings, phone calls, email and text) to keep us abreast of what was going on: this was essential as we were overseas for a period of the work.

Ken Hansen

Job Titles:
  • Estimator

Kenn Hansen

Job Titles:
  • Estimator
Ken has nearly 30 years of experience in the building industry, ranging from managing truss companies to estimating and tender proposals for several large, high profile businesses. His skillset in estimation, quantification and design are broad and honed to an accurate and thorough edge that Hardwick Projects utilizes in their quotes and builds. Despite being formally retired, Ken finds the challenges and intricacies in construction compelling and enjoys operating in a smaller scale company. Ken is warm, friendly, hugely experienced and a boon to Hardwick Projects. When he isn't working, Ken loves to travel around Australia, watch (or coach!) a game of rugby and enjoys the sunshine while gardening at home. His work and input is already proving critical to the team's success and will undoubtably continue to shine through in the future.

Sean Hardwick - Managing Director

Job Titles:
  • Director
  • Managing Director
  • Owner
I gravitate towards warm smiles, clever thinking & kindness in business." For Director/owner Sean Hardwick, good management is about creating a supportive, trusting and nurturing environment for staff and clients alike. He stands out for his unique and remarkable approach to business. Sean established Hardwick Projects in 2014. As sole-owner and Managing Director, his vision remains the same now, as it did then, to "make things happen" in development, design, and construction. Sean insists on identifying as a carpenter due to his love for the art of carpentry. He cares about structural integrity, is obsessed with perfect finishes and puts his heart and soul into everything he does. Sean completed his Cert III in Carpentry in Sydney and worked for architects on large-scale renovations around the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. He made what he thought was a temporary move to Canberra in 2010 and grew to love the Bush Capital. Sean completed his C Class building license in ACT/NSW in 2018 and, in turn, has become a reputable player within the region's building industry. Sean has respect for beautiful timbers and endeavours to consider the sustainability of the product he uses. Sean and the team (including all the tradies) were excellent to work with and we are very pleased with the final result. Sean is punctual, thorough, and made the process very easy. From start to finish he was full of great ideas, kept the costs down and was very clear on the options. We have no hesitations recommending Hardwick Projects to our family and friends. Not only is the work excellent, the overall cost was very reasonable. Another bonus is that the team maintains a very tidy worksite and his contractors were on time and very friendly. Sean and his team replaced our main bathroom, ensuite, laundry and the front door. He removed a wall and installed a large sky light in our kitchen/family room. We were very impressed with his workmanship and that of his team and the timeliness of the work.
