I lead great engineers; I do not micromanage. I make sure my team knows the target and intent, the guidelines to get there, and then I get out of their way so they can deliver results while I take care of any impediments or distractions along the way. I like to think of myself as the enabler of my engineering team... Someday I'll serve as a CTO. However, in my heart of hearts, I will always remain a coder, a die-hard tech geek even after I get a VP or C-suite title.
