Under his five-year tenure, Myers Middle School achieved unprecedented, substantiable academic gains, earning the 2023 GASSP Breakout School Award and 2023 HMH Model School. Her commitment continued for 23 years in the public school system, where she served as both a classroom teacher and behavior specialist in the GNETS (Georgia Network for Educational and Therapeutic Support) Program. Kimberly has consistently approached challenging behaviors through a trauma-informed lens, significantly impacting programming for students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
Michael McGuire is employed by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Social Work as a Clinical Associate Professor, the Director of the Substance Use and Addiction Specialty program, and lead trainer for a state-wide workforce development initiative. He is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Clinical Addictions Specialist, and is a credentialed supervisor and Motivational Interviewing Network Trainer.
