Alex Katzman

Job Titles:
  • Athletic Trainer
Alex Katzman is a passionate Licensed Athletic Trainer with a strong foundation in rehabilitation, strength training and sport conditioning. She holds dual undergraduate degrees in Athletic Training and Exercise Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2014), where she also was a contributing member of the Women's Lacrosse team. She continued her academic journey pursuing a Master of Science in Recreation & Sport Management from Florida International University (2014-2016) as a graduate assistant. Alex's career includes roles as an Athletic Trainer for Coastal Carolina University (2016-2017), Head Athletic Trainer for Gulf Coast State College (2017-2020), Rehab Therapist & Personal Trainer for Matterhorn Fit, and foundational member of the Human Performance Program for the Air Force Special Operations Command through KBRWyle as a contracted Athletic Trainer (2020-2023). She has joined Core Health Partners as the Director of Sports Medicine, where she can fully utilize her innovative and holistic approach treating neuromuscular conditions, promoting physical activity and lifelong well-being, while also offering support to fellow Sports Medicine providers here in Southwest Florida. Alex's dedication to health and wellness extends beyond her career, as she is an active participant in triathlons, an outdoor adventure enthusiast and enjoys the Gulf Coast sunsets. She resides in Bonita Springs with her husband, Kenny, and their dog, Kona.

Carolina Castelli Figley

  • Registered Dietician and Medical Doctor
Dr. Figley received her Medical Degree in 2007 after finishing a residency at several medical facilities and hospitals in the Mahoning valley including North Side Hospital in Youngstown Ohio, Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren Ohio as well as St. Joseph Health Center also in Warren, Ohio. Later Dr. Figley obtained her Masters in Public Health at The Consortium of Eastern Ohio Master of Public Health (CEOMPH) at NEOMED in Rootstown, Ohio. In 2016 Dr. Figley completed the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at Youngstown State University. She now works with Core Health Partners in Naples serving all manner of patients, including world-class athletes. In her free time, Carolina enjoys being active and outdoors.

Diana Vittorio

Job Titles:

Diana Vittorio has been working as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in Naples since 2014. Prior to moving to Naples, she graduated Valedictorian with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her comprehensive internship was completed locally at Naples Community Hospital and Women, Infant and Children's Services in Collier County. Diana's experience includes nutritional counseling in both individual as well as group settings at both Von Arx Diabetes and Nutrition Center and Cederquist Medical Wellness Center. She is most passionate about helping people manage and improve inflammatory conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity and food allergies with nutrition therapy as well as lifestyle modifications. She takes an empathetic and compassionate approach in guiding her patients towards making positive choices in order to reverse their inflammation and optimize their health. Outside of helping people with their health and nutritional goals, she has a tremendous passion for animals, especially her two labradoodles. She is an outdoor enthusiast and strongly believes in the physical and mental health benefits of staying active so she spends a great deal of her free time walking the beach, biking and paddle boarding. Diana is honored to join Core Health Partners and looks forward to many years working with the community in her new role.

Dr. Michael T. Havig

  • Orthopedist at ORTHOCOLLIER
Personal: Dr. Michael T. Havig is the leading orthopedist at ORTHOCOLLIER and has been recognized with the 2014 "Patients' Choice Award" for the fourth year in a row. This award is based on patient reviews on areas including patient care, follow up appointments, flexible scheduling, and staff. Many physicians receive good reviews from their patients but only a select few receive outstanding feedback. Only 5% of the nation's physicians are recognized with this award.

Jack Luginbuhl

Jack graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology in 2018, and currently maintains an Exercise Physiologist certification through the American College of Sports Medicine. In July 2020, he obtained his PTA license after completing a Physical Therapist Assistant Associate degree at Hodges University. Growing up in Canton, Ohio, Jack participated in a variety of sports where he developed an appreciation for the professions of fitness and rehabilitation. He has experience with treatment protocols in a multitude of healthcare settings throughout his internships and professional career, with an emphasis in outpatient orthopedics. Jack is excited and prepared to apply his therapy skills to help people working their way back to optimal wellness and function within the Core Health Partners mission of "Bringing the Clinic to Community".

Jo Ellen

Jo Ellen Condon holds a Bachelors' Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Virginia Tech and is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Educator. Ms Condon has thirty plus years of dietetics and management experience. She originally started working alongside Core Health Partners when she was contracted by the Diabetes Alliance Network (DAN) to help redesign a better model for Diabetes Self-Management and Education. After her work with the Diabetes Alliance Network gained Recognition from the American Diabetes Association (ADA), Jo Ellen began taking a hands on approach with Core Health Partners as Quality Control Director of the diabetes self-management services. Besides her role with Core Health Partners, JoEllen Condon provides diabetes education at the Anne Arundel Medical Group Diabetes and Endocrine Specialists Program in Annapolis, Maryland and she also consults with national organizations through her private practice, RDiabetes EmpowerMNT, LLC. Her national work focuses on diabetes program development and mentoring of new diabetes professionals. Previously, Jo Ellen served as the National Managing Director of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Education Recognition Program (ERP). During her time at ADA, she was responsible for ADA's status as a Medicare National Accrediting Organization for Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES). She also worked with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Diabetes Advocacy Alliance (DAA), the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE), Indian Health Services (IHS), State Health department leaders. As director of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), she managed the ERP National Committee, fifty ERP volunteer auditors, 1,700 ADA Recognized DSMES programs with 3,700 sites. JoEllen Condon also collaborated with American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) and managed the reviewers and writers for the 2017 National Standards for DSMES. JoEllen led the development of the ERP DSMES live symposium, auditor training, and the development of the ERP Quality Coordinator Guide. Prior to joining ADA, Jo Ellen started RDiabetes EmpowerMNT, LLC, and was in network with multiple insurance companies. The practice provided Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to people with diabetes focusing specifically on insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring. She also provided MNT for cardiovascular disease, renal disease, metabolic syndrome, and pre-diabetes. JoEllen serves as a certified insulin pump training for multiple pump companies.

Karen Clements

Karen Clements is a registered occupational therapist. She is licensed by the Department of Health of Florida. She received her Bachelors of Science degree from Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. She recently, successfully completed all requirements by the board of directors of the United States health foundation the title Certified health Coach. She started her career working at Riley‘s children's hospital in Indianapolis and then Mott's Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor Michigan. She then discovered a love and passion for providing occupational therapy in the community at preschools and daycare‘s, as well as public schools. She then moved to Florida five years ago working for a local hospital providing outpatient occupational therapy to adults and children. For more than 30 years she has provided compassionate and committed care to clients with a large variety of disabilities in a variety of settings. These include autism spectrum, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, head injury, stroke, arthritis and orthopedic injuries to name a few. She still has a passion to encourage all of her patients to reach independence in their activity of daily living so that they can live happy and healthy. In her spare time, she loves to play pickleball, hang out with friends and family and yoga on the beach!

Lisa Feola

Lisa has been a resident of Marco Island for over 20 years. She has 4 years of experience working at Brain Balance of Naples, a supplemental education center, coaching and teaching children and young adults who are experiencing behavioral, social and academic challenges. During her time at Brain Balanceshe gained experience in sensory motor and primitive reflexintegration.In relation to the field of occupational therapy, Lisa has experience in outpatient pediatrics including in-clinic OT service delivery as well as telehealth. In addition to outpatient pediatric and telehealth, Lisa has experience as a student intern and volunteer at Naples Community Hospital in both the inpatient rehabilitation and neurological units. Lisa has a true passion for the pediatric population and is excited to be a member of the Core Health Partners team.

Myrna Escobedo

Myrna Escobedo is from a proud Hispanic heritage with family being born and raised in Mexico. She was raised bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English in LaBelle Fl. She has always had a passion for working in the medical field, especially with pediatrics and has an excited about getting to work for a community like Immokalee and joining such a great team of clinical professionals. Although a newer graduate, she has experience working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in skilled nursing settings as a PRN in a variety of settings and facilities. Making the transition into the pediatrics side of therapy and be a member of the Core Health Partners team that brings the clinic services to the community is a dream come true.

Paul J. Thein - Founder

Paul Thein leads the Core Health Partners movement with over 30-years of successful experience in providing oversight for community education and fitness. Paul's community wellness and education experience, includes direct facility oversight, community outreach and partnerships, and serving as a college instructor in the areas of health, wellness and physical education. In order to expand on the effort and relationships, Thein resigned his position as CEO of the Naples YMCA in 2018. He joined a group of visionary pioneers from the YMCA's healthy living movement (Community Health Partners of Clive Iowa). Together they shared a vision to expand a partnership model of medical-integration and clinic to community partnerships that would strengthen community. A year later that vision resulted in 8 CHP facilities in the Des Moines Iowa region and first two-venues opening in Florida. The Florida facilities include the Academy of Sanchez Casal and the YMCAs of South Collier (Marco Island). Thein loves his role as the Senior Vice President for Advancement & Partnerships for Core Health Partners. The flexibility has allowed him to strengthen past relationships and grow new ones in pursuit of community well-being. Paul Thein service to community included services on the board of directors for the Special Olympics Florida and Meals of Hope, an organization focused on feeding the hungry. Paul is the founder of Core Health Partners and he is joined by family members who have invested in his vision to help build Core Health Partners as a mechanism tool to help the improve the community partnerships, programs, and information needed to improve the wellbeing of persons living with chronic disease. Soon Thein

Soon Thein was recruited to re-energize a YMCA in Naples, Florida. Under Thein's leadership he championed as a capital campaign to rebuild the Naples YMCA from a fitness center to a Healthy Living Campus that was fully accessible to the community for fitness 24/7. Thein led a campaign that raised $12-million to rebuild and renovate the YMCA.
