MoRA is the first and only Museum of Recycled Art in Italy, founded on December 8th 2018 and owned by Mariaceleste Amalia de Martino, born in New York City, fourth generation American, daughter of entrepreneur Francesco (Frank) Saverio Togo de Martino and Italian Fashion designer Anna Maria Vittoria Tomasetta de Martino... MoRA is located in Rome. Over 100 items on show, all created with "waste materials": bags and purses made with old stockings or plastic bottle tops, necklaces, bracelets and earrings made of medicine blisters or silver foil, a blanket transformed into a skirt, vintage silk ties sewn into a dress or a gilet made of zips and other jewelry made with can tabs, computer parts, hardware pieces, lenses, ice-cream sticks, chains, light bulbs, electric wire, pencils, hair curlers, negative film, paper, coins, and much more.
