OZARK POINT BRASS
Updated 1161 days ago
In 1992, a group of brass players who were members of the UALR Community Band formed Ozark Point Brass for the purpose of exploring the quintet literature and playing "just for fun." It was not long before we began to receive invitations to perform for holiday services at churches of various denominations. We then began to receive invitations to play at weddings and ceremonial occasions of various sorts, and we thus became a professional or "working" quintet, although we continue to enjoy playing just for the fun of it. A highlight for us occurred several years ago when we were invited by the City of Little Rock to travel to Victoria, British Columbia, to perform for attendees at a travel convention being held at The Empress Hotel.
