Christopher R.J. Knable

Over a three-decade global career, Christopher has invested in, developed, branded, and operated billions of dollars of iconic hotel assets including The Peninsula Paris, PUBLIC New York and Raffles Singapore; among many more. He started out as a teenager working in restaurants and made himself into a global hotel operator working in the US and overseas for ultra-luxury companies including Peninsula and Four Seasons. After several General Manager postings, Christopher started investing and developing with completed projects including the Rosewood Mayakoba Riviera Maya Mexico and what is now the Waldorf Astoria Chicago. His most recent overseas experience took him first to Dubai as Vice-President Asset Managament for HRH Prince Alaweed bin Talal's Kingdom Hotels followed by Chief Operating Officer for QIA owned Katara Hospitality. His last hotel opening was working with boutique hotel icon Ian Schrager as his Chief Operating Officer to develop and open PUBLIC New York, the next generation of boutique hotel. Now based in New York's bucolic Hudson Valley, he is building out two new hospitality brands including a family-friendly cafe concept "Main St Goodness" and a premium pie-focused bakery brand "Pieconic" as part of his Goodness Ventures platform which focuses on creating and executing compelling hospitality experiences. A graduate of Hunter College in New York, he advanced his professional education at the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and in leadership training with the Coro Organization in New York. Active in the community, Christopher has mentored hospitality students around the world from New York to Bhutan and also served on the editorial board for more than a decade of the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, the premier hospitality industry research journal. Christopher is married, lives in New York's Hudson Valley and has two adult children.

Edward E. Moawad

Mr. Moawad is a Founding Member of RAWD Capital Development. In his previous career as a civil litigator and a transactional attorney, Mr. Moawad counseled clients on intellectual property protection and licensing matters, as well as trademark, copyright, and unfair practices in businesses that range from giants in the entertainment industry to pharmaceutical companies. His extensive business, management, money and trusts management and venture capital experience of over ten years helps Mr. Moawad serve RAWD's clients in all their financial and consulting needs.

Michael R. Sears

Mr. Sears has over 40 years experience in all facets of real estate development and finance. He is the founder and Managing Principal of RAWD Capital Development, LLC, a multi asset fund manager as well is the manager of a number of special purpose private investment funds. Mr. Sears has operated or been a senior executive of a number of companies providing financial advisory, investment management, banking and development services to domestic and international investors and corporations; as well as governments and government sponsored enterprises. His investment, finance, development experience and focus include urban mixed use real estate, hospitality, health care as well as sports and entertainment facilities. Until January of 2006, Mr. Sears was the Managing Director for GMAC Commercial Holding Capital Markets' New York City and Washington, DC offices. There he initiated and/or managed billions of commercial loans and equity investments in a wide variety of real estate and/or balance sheet backed transactions. At GMAC he worked closely with high net private investors, institutional investors and lenders; as well as with domestic and foreign governments. His commercial finance projects in Washington, DC included the Washington DC National's professional baseball stadium and the mixed use projects of Gallery Place and Time Warner Center, and the origination in New York City the first commercial mortgage issued after 9/11/2001. Prior to joining GMAC in 1998, Mr. Sears was the Manager of the Bear Stearns investment banking offices in Washington, DC. He began his career at Bear Stearns in 1992, during which time he was integrally involved in structuring and selling commercial mortgage backed securities and municipal bonds nationwide; as well as providing asset management services to commercial mortgage bankers throughout the US. While at Bear Stearns, Mr. Sears administered development and growth of the company's first commercial mortgage conduit; the creation of the first government sponsored enterprise mortgage backed security; and other innovations in tracking and analyzing the performance of commercial mortgaged assets. From 1982 and until 1992, Mr. Sears was an independent financial adviser to high net worth private individuals, public and private corporations and commercial banks. During this period he structured and arranged debt and equity for investment in the real estate, agribusiness and natural resources industries. Projects Mr. Sears managed included the sale and purchase of a Castle and Cook (now Dole Foods) business unit; and a variety of residential, commercial and industrial developments throughout the states of California, Colorado and New York.

Nuha A. Alogla
