Growing up in a Southeastern European country, in a family of musicians, made for a most unusual childhood. My parents' vision to raise a concert pianist led to formative years heavily influenced by all muses of the arts. My teen years were spent studying the works of Bach, the art installations of Christo, and everything in between. My days were filled with symphony concerts, art exhibits, and plays, while Sarah, Duke, and Charlie's jazz tunes frequently were the background of my parents' weekend parties. My favorite pastime, however, was to draw. It gave me the freedom to imagine without limitations. Drawing, for me, was the plane where the abstract was as meaningful as the real.
