With over 35 years of experience and over 10,000 successful real estate closings, NJ real estate attorney Goldie Sommer, Esq, has real experience that can be trusted. As a both a licensed property attorney and a licensed real estate agent, Ms. Sommer can handle all parts of a real estate transaction from start to closing with compassion, determination, and a thorough knowledge of all the available options for our NJ real estate clients. No matter which side of the real estate transaction is being handled, Ms. Sommer makes sure her clients are legally protected and in compliance with real estate contracts and NJ real estate laws. Goldie Sommer, Esq, is the founding member of The Sommer Law Firm located in Fairfield, N.J. She began her college education at The University of Hartford. She later transferred to Fairleigh Dickenson University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Attorney Goldie Sommer received her J. D. from Seton Hall School of Law. She has been admitted to the bar in both New Jersey and New York. Before working as a New Jersey property attorney, Ms. Sommer has been the owner of a successful title insurance agency and the review attorney for a Hudson County bank's commercial mortgage department. Ms. Sommer has the distinction of being one of the first foreclosure attorney's in NJ to gain expertise in short sales and has handled hundreds of cases for distressed NJ property owners. Her success and experience brought her to the attention of West Law Publishers, the leading national legal publishing house, when they were seeking an experienced short sale attorney to write an article for them on short sales. The resulting article titled, "The Secret of the Short Sale," was published in the Banker and Lender Liability Journal. Later, Ms. Sommer was featured in The Star Ledger as an expert NJ real estate lawyer handling short sales and has been quoted not once, but twice, in the New York Times on short sale articles. In addition, Ms. Sommer has testified as an expert witness for real estate litigation. Outside of the office Ms. Sommer gives back to the community by donating her time to N.J. Cares, where she volunteers at Hunger Helpers to assist in feeding the homeless and needy in Newark. She is, also, an avid animal lover. Ms. Sommer works to rescue dogs from shelters and temporary facilities and help them find their forever homes.
