Hi I'm Caroline Sands, a retired qualified Accountant. I retired in 2020 after working in Industry for 39 years. My strengths are in finance and related subjects, and people skills, having managed large and small teams over my years in industry. I'm a keen Gardner and animal lover, and enjoy walking my 3 dogs. I'm keen to utilise the skills I have further, to help the development of the school federation.

As a previous CEO, Accounting Officer and governor of a Christian School Federation and Multi Academy Trust, I was able to work diligently and compassionately towards my goal of enabling all children to experience equal educational opportunities within a caring and nurturing environment. I am now delighted to be a member of the governing body of Tibberton and St Lawrence Schools, where I can utilise my ethos and education skills to work alongside the governors, staff and children in this fantastic, federated family. The Tibberton Federation has strong leadership in its schools and governing body, which supports staff and parents to enable all our children to reach their own goals and achieve their own potential. After qualifying in Law and French (LLB Hons) from Dundee University, I realised that wasn't the route my life should take. I decided to study for my PGCE in the West Midlands and have never regretted the move into teaching, or into this part of the country. I have been very fortunate to be part of three wonderful and varied schools across two different local authorities before joining Tibberton and St Lawrence in January 2021.
I believe that all children have a special contribution they can make not only to our schools but to our world. I am passionate about improving opportunities for each and every member of the school communities I serve, and it is an honour to work with a group of such dedicated and professional people in fulfilling this aim.
