Stuart is appointed by the Governor of New York to serve on the Developmental Disabilities Advisory Council. The Developmental Disability Advisory Council provides advice and recommendations to the Commissioner of OPWDD on statewide priorities and goals. Stuart is the Self Direction Committee Chair and included on the Executive Committee. A second appointment is to the Developmental Disabilities Planning Council , a Federally funded New York State agency working under the direction of the Governor.
